SYNTHIA is proud to be part of the Health Data Summit 2025, a leading event on health data innovation, taking place in Brussels on 19 & 20 March 2025.

This annual summit brings together key stakeholders from healthcare, research, industry, and policy to discuss cutting-edge developments in digital health and data-driven solutions.

SYNTHIA partner Ahmed Youssef, key expert from Johnson & Johnson Medical Innovations, will be presenting in a special session about synthetic data .

The title of his lecture is "Spotlight on synthetic data and data quality in the context of SYNTHIA". Ahmed will provide an insightful overview of the SYNTHIA Project, highlighting its objectives and impact on synthetic data applications in healthcare. He will discuss the critical role of data quality, exploring synthetic data generation methodologies and the associated quality standards. Additionally, he will address the intersection of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with data quality challenges, emphasizing the importance of high-quality synthetic data in advancing healthcare research and innovation. Attendees can expect key take-home messages that will underscore the significance of synthetic data in shaping the future of health data management and utilization.

The Health Data Summit 2025 is organized by I~HD (The European Institute for innovation through Health Data) and will focus on the importance of the quality of health data and how this can be maximised.

Data quality is critical to both primary and secondary uses of health data within the Eurpean Health Data Space (EHDS). In fact the success of primary and secondary uses are interdependent when it comes to data quality. Attendees are expected from the OECD, EC, Health ministries, hospitals, data quality academics and several European projects that are dependent upon high quality data.

SYNTHIA extends its gratitude to Dipak Kalra and Christophe Maes of I~HD for the opportunity to participate in the Health Data Summit 2025.

During the Health Data Summit 2025, SYNTHIA partner I~HD will launch the SYNTHIA Public Consultation.

SYNTHIA launches a public consultation to gather stakeholder views on what content and features matter in a European hub for synthetic data. Summit attendees are asked to fill in the form real-time and contribute to understanding the use of synthetic data and the value of the SYNTHIA platform. The consultation will run until April 2025. After the summit SYNTHIA will reach out to researchers, healthcare professionals, patient advocates, policymakers, and industry leaders, to identify gaps, expectations, and opportunities in synthetic data applications.
